  Yay, good news! I (Rachel) bid on some jobs at work and actually got one! I've been working at the main post office for the past year working evenings and weekends and lately I've really been wanting weekends off. I actually bid on 27 jobs and was the senior bidder on 18 of them but I was awarded the job that was ranked highest on my list. So in a few weeks I'll be going back to the Remote Encoding Center, still working evenings but with Saturday and Sunday off! Just in time for the spring and summer car shows. Now we'll actually have the chance to spend some time together as a family :)

  We had our first snowfall of the winter and of course Ashton had to go out and "play" in the little bit that was left when we got up. Pictures are in the November 2007 folder.

  Our computer crashed right after Ashton's birthday. We finally bought a new computer so I'll be getting pictures uploaded soon!

  Finally got around to uploading new pictures. Ashton has offically moved out of his toddler bed and into a full size bed! He decided he wanted a pirate room so I spent two days painting the walls to make them pirate-y.

  We're loving our new house. There are still a ton of boxes to unpack but it's slowly starting to look more like home. We've got big plans to eventually remodel the kitchen and master bathroom but for now we're just going to work on taking down some wallpaper and painting.

  We're closing on our house tomorrow! We don't get the keys until Tuesday at 5pm but after tomorrow the house will be ours! We're going to try to be mostly moved in by next weekend so we can spend Christmas at the new house.

  Ashton got to go see Santa tonight. He was so happy and he even got to ring Santa's bell!
  
  We won't be able to close on the house tomorrow. We're hoping to have everything done so we can close by the 18th and still be mostly moved in by Christmas.

  We're buying a house! If all goes well we should close on December 11. The new house is much bigger, has 2 bathrooms (a must), a dining room (we haven't had one since we sold our old house), and lots of garage space for Danny. Pictures are in the New House album.
